Starting off the weekend with a fairly cloudy day, the sort of grey blanket that looks like it might do something, and sure enough there’s the odd shower drifting about.
Nothing major, just enough to annoy you if you’ve nipped out without a coat.
It’ll brighten up for a while with some sunny spells, a decent middle of the day really, before the showers regroup later in the afternoon and into the evening.
Once they clear, we get some nice clear spells overnight, but temperatures drop right down to around 3°C, so there’s a risk of a grass frost waiting for anyone up early.
Settled Outlook?
Sunday is the reward for getting through that, dry, sunny spells, crisp air, a proper fresh April day.
A chilly start again, another grass frost possible, but once the sun gets going it’ll feel pleasant enough. Light northerly winds easing round to the east later on.
Monday keeps things steady: mainly dry, bright, sunny intervals, nothing dramatic, just a settled spring day with a gentle easterly breeze that picks up a touch later. Still cool at night, but not as sharp.
Tuesday follows the same script, dry, bright, sunny intervals, but the easterly wind strengthens, enough to make it feel cooler than the 12°C high suggests.
By later on it’ll be properly brisk, so expect that fresh sting if you’re anywhere near the coast.
