The two sidecar competitors that were involved in last night’s (May 29) red flag incident are both ‘ok’.

The sidecar qualifying session was red flagged after the incident at Bishopscourt just before 9pm.

Tom has been discharged from Noble’s Hospital, having suffered with cuts and bruises, soft tissue damage and is ‘walking wounded’.

Chris has two punctured lungs, which he says are only small. Along with a laceration of his liver, concussion, soft tissue damage and cuts and bruises.

He is currently being kept in for observation, and hopes to be let out tomorrow.

Chris thanks for everyone’s kind words and support, and hopes to be back in the paddock ‘real soon’.

He also wanted to give a ‘massive shout out and thank you’ to all the marshalls and medics who helped the pair following the incident.
