The Southern Dippers will enter their 24th year of dipping in 2025.
The annual event has raised nearly £75k during it’s tenure and has consistently supported the lesser well advertised local charities.
This year is no different as they plan to raise as much monies as possible for Victim Support Isle of Man.
The charity offers free and confidential support to victims and witnesses of crime whether or not it has been reported to the police, and regardless of how long ago the crime occurred.

Usual times and usual kind support from the wonderful hosts at the Shore, Bay and Albert Hotels.
- 10am Chapel Beach-then refreshments at Albert
- 10:45am PSM Inner Harbour-then refreshments at Albert
- 11:30am Gansey Beach-then refreshments at Shore Hotel
- 12:15pm Fancy Dress Finale Port Erin Beach then prize giving/refreshments Bay Hotel.
Cash prizes for best costume-any theme.
Dippers Sponsor
Sponsors, Bushys, Macro Metal and RCM Hoist Hire make a welcome return sponsoring individual beaches, as well as the support of the Rotary Club of Rushen and Western Mann.
Regrettably the organisers have been unsuccessful in securing a main sponsor for 2025.
It is by far the largest event in the South on New Year’s Day and very much a community driven event for all the family.
