Standing Water on New Estate ‘frustrates’ MHK

MHK for Arbory, Castletown and Malew Tim Glover has said “there are some situations which really frustrate you in this job”.

Mr Glover has been “battling” to get a resolution to issues in a new housing estate in Castletown for over a year.

He says that nearly half the houses built on the Meadows Estate had not had a water dye test done before being sold.

Battle Not Over

Glover said: “After months of enquiries, I thank Manx Utilities for completing these. Residents may have faced problems when selling their property without these being done.”

He says that “the other battle is still unresolved”.

Adding: “Every time it rains there is standing water on the incomplete roads and car parking areas. Understandably, the residents are fed up with this situation.”

Mr Glover has emailed Haven Homes, Mr Qualtrough and Michelle Haywood MHK for Rushen appealing for this situation to be resolved as quickly as possible.
