Hiking For Hospice

A group of eight local walkers are setting off on a five-night adventure, the Happiness Hike, in support of Hospice Isle of Man.

The group will be based in the Alnwick, right in the heart of the Northumberland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

With around 12 miles of walking each day, the group will explore scenic coastal paths, peaceful countryside trails, and take on a truly special final day, a barefoot crossing to Holy Island, followed by a guided tour.

Leading the way is Ken Harding from Walking IOM, a fully qualified guide who will support the group every step of the way.

There’s even an optional visit planned to the Alnwick Castle and Gardens for those who want to explore even more.

Hospice said: “A huge thank you to our amazing Happiness Hikers — not only are they taking on a fantastic challenge, but they’re doing it to raise vital funds for Hospice. Good luck and enjoy every moment!”
