The FIM Capital Sprint Triathlon returned to Ramsey on Sunday, with athletes of all ages taking on the season‑opening swim, bike and run around the north of the island.
Husband‑and‑wife duo Andrew and Clara Isaac once again dominated the event, winning the Open and Female categories for the third consecutive year.
Clara continued her impressive run of form, winning in 1:07:38 and placing ninth overall, nearly six minutes clear of the next woman home.
Amber Carridge (1:13:17) and Sophie Acton (1:15:39) completed the women’s podium.
Sprint Triathlon
Andrew broke the hour mark to win the men’s race in 59:51, holding off a tight chase group. Neil Kelly finished second in 1:00:12, with rising talent Cameron Leslie third in 1:00:53.
The NSC team topped the relay standings in 58:58, ahead of The Lactate Thresholders and J&J.
Organisers reported a strong turnout from first‑time triathletes, many of whom had progressed through the Tri Club’s beginner programme.
The Isle of Man Special Olympics team again provided enthusiastic support throughout the day.
The Manx Tri Club thanked sponsors FIM Capital, volunteers and supporters, and encouraged newcomers to get involved in upcoming events, including the Patrick Crookall Middle Distance on June 14 and the Billboards.im Triathlon Championships on September 6.
