Manx athletes delivered a series of impressive performances at the Northern Area Race Walking Championships in Liverpool on Saturday.
This was despite battling strong winds and a mid‑race hail shower.
Eight local walkers, six from Manx Harriers and two from Northern AC, competed on the flat 1km circuit at Litherland Sports Centre, with several producing season’s bests and personal best times.
In the 1km event, Jack Davies finished second in 5:28 (SB). Lilee Fletcher won the 2km in 9:20 (PB), with Polly Davies third in 11:33 (PB).
Over 5km, Tim Perry (U17) took victory in 24:56 (PB), alongside wins for Holly Salter (U20) in 27:21 (PB) and Honey‑Mae Davies (U17) in 29:20 (PB).
Amy Surgeon was second U17 in 30:34 (PB).
In the 10km race, Neil Wade placed fourth overall and first in the Northern Area category in 47:52.
