Summer Holidays Sees Increased Call For Foodbank

The Isle of Man Foodbank says the school summer holidays means an increased calls for the service.

The charity would be grateful for donations of the items most needed for people across the Isle of Man this week.

Needed in Douglas and Central:

  • UHT milk (green/blue)
  • Tinned fruit, rice pudding, custard
  • Tinned corned beef, ham, chopped pork etc
  • Tinned spaghetti
  • Needed in Ramsey and north:
  • UHT milk
  • Tinned meats
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Custard
  • Tomato/brown sauce
  • Pasta sauces
  • Instant flavoured noodles
  • Cereals & biscuits
  • Men’s shower gel
  • Baby wipes

Needed in the South:

  • Fray Bentos pies
  • Rice pudding
  • Pot noodles
  • Vegetable soup
  • Tinned peas with carrots
  • Washing capsules

Donations can be taken to any of its collection points on the Foodbank list.
