Tall Ship to Visit Douglas

A full‑size replica of one of history’s most famous ships will visit Douglas this September when the Nao Santa María docks at Douglas Marina as part of its 2026 tour.

The vessel, a detailed reconstruction of Christopher Columbus’s flagship, will be open to the public from September 2 to 6, offering a rare chance to step aboard a 15th‑century tall ship and explore its decks, cabins and hold.

Operated by the Nao Victoria Foundation, the ship serves as a floating museum dedicated to global maritime history.

Douglas City Centre Management arranged the visit, with manager Oliver Cheshire describing it as “a real coup for Douglas,” noting the town is one of only 30 ports on this year’s international schedule. The Foundation said it is “delighted” to bring the ship to a community with a strong maritime heritage.

Tickets are available online, with advance booking encouraged as quayside sales will only be offered if pre‑sale capacity remains.

The ship will open daily from 10am to 8pm while berthed at Douglas Marina.
