Temporary speed limits in Lonan

As of next week there will be a temporary speed limits in place on the Baldhoon Road, Lonan.

From Monday (February 5) there will be temporary speed limits of 30 and 40 mph on the Baldhoon Road in Lonan whilst a team from the Department of Infrastructure (DOI) are working.

The DOI team at that location will be maintaining verges and doing ditching work.

Speed limit

It is anticipated that the DOI team will be on site for up to two weeks.

The Department of Infrastructure have asked for the general public to ‘please slow down’.

The Department said that these are mobile works and it is likely if you are making a return trip on the road that the team will be working at a different location.

Roadworks

Resurfacing work began on the A3 Foxdale Road in Malew on January 29.

A temporary 30mph speed limit has been put in place in the vicinity of the Grenaby Road junction, and will be in place until no later than Friday next week (February 9).

Highways are undertaking road surface repairs, scraping vegetation back from the pavement and undertaking drainage investigation work.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place whilst the work is ongoing.
