Onchan’s sub-postmaster has thanked customers for their support as changes are due to kick in at the branch.
Hassan and Hafswa Patel have run the village Post Office for 12 years.
In a post to the Onchan residents page, Mr Patel said: “We would like to sincerely thank all our customers and the local community for your continued support over the past 12 years.
“Due to changes linked to the government’s digital strategy, we will be continuing our business operations until the summer.
“From April 1, the Post Office service will be limited to parcels and stamps only. We will remain open and continue to serve you during this time.
“Our stationery shop will continue to operate as normal. We also want to support our elderly customers in Onchan, Laxey, and Baldrine.
“If you require any assistance, we are more than happy to help—whether that’s making payments over the phone or guiding you through online services.”
