Residents who want to comment on the draft Area Plan for the North and West have just under three weeks in which to do so.
The deadline to comment on any modifications being proposed on the Draft Area Plan for the North and West is 5pm on Friday March 28.
Views on proposed amendments are sought from anyone with an interest in the Draft Plan.
- Details of the proposed modifications are available to view online at pabc.gov.im/nwmodifications. Alternatively, paper copies of the documents are available to view at Cabinet Office reception. Copies have also been posted to all Local Authorities in the North and West.
- Views can be registered online at consult.gov.im. Paper response forms are available from the Planning Policy Team at northandwest@gov.im or call 686758.
The 86 proposed modifications – published on January 15 – stem from recommendations in the inspector’s report.
Peel
The changes have proved controversial with Glenfaba & Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan opposing the plans to zone greenfield sites in Peel for development.
Adopt
When the consultation closes the Cabinet Office will consider all representations received before considering whether to ‘adopt’ the plan. The Area Plan will only come into operation after being approved by Tynwald.
The inspector’s report remains available online at the public inquiry website, where other documents and information dealt with during inquiry sessions can also be accessed. Alternatively, the inspector’s report can be viewed in hard copy at Cabinet Office reception, third floor, Government Office, Bucks Road, Douglas.
For any queries please email the Planning Policy Team at northandwest@gov.im or call 686758.
