Local runner Tim Shallcross completed the Copenhagen Half Marathon, meaning he has completed all six cities in the European Super Series.
The others are Cardiff, Berlin, Prague, Lisbon and Valencia.
He may well be the first Manx runner to complete this series unless anyone knows otherwise.
European Super Series
I understand Tim set a new personal best time by around three minutes in a race in which there were several other runners from the Isle of Man competing.
The atmosphere in Copenhagen was buzzing, with Jakob Ingebrigtsen making his Half Marathon debut in a world-class field.
The course was improved this year to make the last 3km faster, and it will host the World Half Marathon Championship in 2025.
The courses for the series are mostly flat. Each city has advantages and disadvantages in terms of course, temperature, humidity, transport infrastructure, organisation, cost etc.
Congratulations to Tim on a great achievement!
Thanks to Alan Sandford for the information and photos.
