Manx Care’s Health Visiting Service will be revising the timings of its health and developmental reviews.
The revision from March 1, is to streamline the service in line with guidance from Public Health England.
As part of the Universal Healthy Child Programme, it will schedule reviews for children aged 0-5 with the Health Visiting Service.
Timings Reviewed
An assessment of the child’s health and development is completed at each of these contacts and increased contact with the service will be offered if required.
Manx Care currently completes the following reviews:
- Antenatal;
- New Birth review;
- 6–8-week review;
- 3–4-month review;
- 7–9-month review;
- 2–2.5-year developmental review;
- School readiness review.
The 7–9 month review has now changed to a 12-month review.
