After a 2-2 draw at home to bottom side Foxdale Onchan go west this Saturday to face defending champions Peel.
Peel have bounced back from a stuttering start and set their sights firmly on a Railway Cup spot.
Going into this weekend’s games, Onchan sit third five points head of Peel, but the champions have a game in hand and beat contenders Laxey 4-5 at Glen Road last time out.
As for Laxey, they head to Old Boys on Saturday as they look to get back into winning ways.
Leaders Corinthians also face a challenging weekend as they welcome Ayre to Ballafletcher.
As if that wasn’t enough for this title race, Rushen United beat Ayre last week and currently sit fourth, just two points behind the leaders and will be able to spend their free week watching and waiting to see which of the teams around them blink.
The other games in the top flight this weekend see Braddan welcome St Marys and St John’s heading to Foxdale and Ramsey making the trip to Union Mills.
Div Two
With the top two both having a free week, the Pulrose have a chance to go within a win of the promotion spots as they head to Malew on Saturday.
Fourth placed RYCOB will also have a chance to close that gap as they face St Georgesl, as if that wasn’t enough Marown also have a chance to bring themselves into the promotion hunt when they welcome D&D.
Elsewhere in the Ardern & Druggan Division Two, the Douglas Royal welcome Governors Athletic.
