Ramsey Town Commissioners have been focused on various projects as well as enhancing green spaces around the town.
Teams have been undergoing Health & Safety and Risk Assessment training to installing some new bunting in Mooragh Park’s Water Park.
Maintenance teams have been working on the lanes at Cooil Breryk and Rheast Mooar, the Plaza Car Park and Grove Mount.
Efficient
The commissioners have just taken delivery of a new ride-on sweeping machine and following some staff training this week, it will be ready for use.
Whilst grass cutting is ongoing around the town, additional areas have been identified as potential wildflower sites, which mean that they will be left to grow.
Nature Projects
Working with the Manx Wildlife Trust, teams from the commissioners are allowing selected green spaces to grow naturally this season.
This approach helps the commissioners identify any dormant wildflower species that may be present.
These areas will be clearly sign-posted so the community understands their purpose.
