The Department of Infrastructure (DoI) have confirmed that a steam train and car collided at Ronaldsway halt.
A car crossed the track in front of a scheduled train service at 2.24pm on Tuesday (August 20).
As a result the car sustained some damage.
The DoI says that “the train stopped and was able to proceed after a short delay to assess the condition of the loco, which sustained very minor damage”.
There were no injuries sustained in the incident, but it is an important reminder to all vehicle drivers to take great care when crossing any railway or tram line.
