Works are planned on Tuesday daytime to remove several mature trees in the central reservation on Gardeners Lane, Ramsey.
The trees, located between Lezayre Park and Greenlands Avenue, have been affected by Dutch elm disease or Ash dieback, and are being felled for safety reasons.
From 9:30am to 3:30pm, Gardeners Lane will be closed to through traffic between Lezayre Park and Greenlands Avenue, and on-street parking will not be permitted along this section.
Access
Access to Lezayre Park and JP Corrys will remain unchanged via Lezayre Road.
Access to Greenlands Avenue and properties north toward the Whitebridge will be via the TT access gate at the eastern end of Greenlands Avenue, then through Gladstone Way, Bircham Avenue, and the Lezayre Estate.
If weather conditions, particularly high winds, prevent work on the scheduled date, a contingency plan is in place to carry out the felling on Wednesday, January 14.
Residents directly affected have been notified by letter. Road users are advised to plan alternative routes and follow signage during the works.
