Tributes Paid to ‘Driving Force’ Kevin

The Joey Dunlop Foundation has paid tribute to Kevin Quirk following his passing, describing him as the “main driving force” behind the charity’s work.

In a statement, the Foundation said: “Kevin was the main driving force of the charity from its inception through to the completion of the accessible apartments at Braddan Bridge House.

“The amount of time Kevin spent ensuring the Charity achieved its goal was truly admirable.”

Thoughts

The Foundation also acknowledged Quirk’s long battle with illness, adding: “Kevin unfortunately had to battle with ill health for many years following his departure from the Foundation.

“Our thoughts are with Kevin’s family and close friends at this sad time.”

Former marshals director Terry Holmes also shared his condolences, saying: “So sad to hear of the passing of Kevin Quirk, a leading light of the Joey Dunlop and Mike Hailwood association.

“Also a great support of the Simon Andrews fund and many other Motorcycle related organisations.”

Kevin played a pivotal role in supporting motorsport charities and initiatives, leaving a lasting legacy within the Isle of Man’s racing community.
