Trust Funds New Hospital Equipment

The Ramsey District Cottage Hospital (RDCH) Welfare Fund has funded three new pieces of equipment for the Cottage Hospital.

The trustees procured two bedside patient monitors for the Outpatients Department.

They also funded a new set of weighing scales for the Renal Unit, totalling just over £5,600.

Hospital Equipment

The two new bedside patient monitors can capture a full set of vitals in less than a minute, giving users more time to focus on patients.

The equipment is used to measure vitals of every person who is admitted to the hospital, and can even help identify signs of patient deterioration, with automated Early Warning Scores.

The new set of Seca 677 weighing scales cover all mobility levels, including wheelchair users, and can be moved to be closer to the patient as needed.

Weighing patients before and after dialysis is an integral part of on-going treatment within the Renal Unit.
