The DfE has submitted plans that would see Duke continue to operate its TT Village in Douglas for the next three years.
Duke initially operated the popular accommodation block on the former prison site on Victoria Road in 2019.
Having only grown in popularity since, the DfE’s application would see Duke operate the site until TT 2028.
The site will have 203 cabins, which includes ones for staff to stay on site.
In its application, the DfE said “guest feedback continues to be good excellent” and said it has not received any complaints about noise or travel issues caused by the site.
It added that with the upcoming release of the major document The Greatest Race on Earth, it expects the number of people interested to come to the island for the TT only to grow.
