Tuesday’s weather forecast

A wet and windy start today, with rain through most of the morning in strong to near-gale force northwest winds.

The rain will then clear away late morning leaving the rest of the day mostly dry with sunny spells developing.

The winds will be slower to ease, becoming fresh to strong for the evening and continuing to gradually ease.

Coastal overtopping is expected in Peel around the time of high tide (~12:40pm).

Outlook

Another band of quite heavy rain arriving during Wednesday morning which will clear for a time in the afternoon but could still be rather dull, before rain returns in the evening or at first in the night before finally clearing away.

The fresh southerly winds strengthen as the rain arrives. Top temperatures of 12°C.

Mostly dry but fairly cloudy on Thursday, with perhaps some rain overnight.

Moderate to fresh southwest winds and top temperatures of 15°C.
