MHKs have chosen to give throw out two sitting MLCs, with three new members joining LegCo.
Rob Mercer was the only one all granted another five years in this morning’s Keys sitting.
After the first round three members for LegCo were picked, Mr Merer, Gary Clueit and Peter Reid, with Barry Carbis knocked out having received just one vote.
After the second round of votes, Kirstie Morphet was chosen with 15 votes.
The selected LegCo members will serve until February 2030, receiving a minimum salary of £71,659 per annum.
Bill Henderson and Kerry Sharpe were the two who lost their seats.
Speaker Juan Watterson thanked all candidates for “taking part in this very public job application, which is important for our uniquely Manx democracy”.
