Three players from Vagabonds Ladies Rugby Club have been selected to represent the Cheshire County team in the Gill Burns Division.
The selection of local girls, Leona McGovern, Sophie Henry, and Maylyn Campbell, showcases the strength of the Islands local rugby community.
The first match is this Saturday (May 11) at 2pm KO and is against Northumberland.

The Gill Burns Division comprises teams from regions across the UK, including Durham, Northumberland, and more, all vying for the opportunity to compete in the final at Twickenham.
This esteemed division is named after Gill Burns, a legendary figure in women’s rugby known for her exceptional contributions to the sport.
Gill Burns was a trailblazer for women’s rugby, advocating for greater recognition and support.
The matches in the Gill Burns Division will be live-streamed, providing fans with the opportunity to support our team from afar.
