Milan Vets is seeking planning approval to extend the opening hours of its Peel practice.
The practice, on Crown Street Peel, is currently limited in its opening hours by conditions attached to its planning approval in 2021.
Under that approval, the practice can only open for one or two hours on most mornings and for one hours in the afternoon on three days a week.
Its new application would see the practice allowed to open from 8am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
The application said: “It is not intended to change the nature or size of the business. Just extending opening hours. With recent residential expansion within Peel and West of the Island, the pet owning population of that area has therefore increased.
“The amendment to opening hours is to meet customer demand, as the only veterinary practice in the area. A maximum of 3 members of staff working at the premises at any one time.”
