Views Sought on Strategic Plan

An interactive exhibition has been installed at the Sea Terminal inviting the public to engage with the ongoing Strategic Plan review.

The Isle of Man Strategic Plan sets the overarching framework for sustainable development, guiding land use to ensure “well-located, well-designed, and environmentally respectful growth”.

Its policies carry significant weight in daily planning decisions and in shaping detailed ‘area plans’.

Strategic Plan

The plan also supports the goals of the Island Plan by promoting sustainable housing, urban regeneration, climate resilience and inclusive infrastructure.

The exhibition will feature posters, post-its, stickers and a suggestion box to encourage feedback in a relaxed and informal way.

Copies of the Community Guide will be available for people to take home and explore the full online consultation in more detail.

Get Involved

David Ashford MHK, Minister for the Cabinet Office said: “We want to make it as easy and welcoming as possible for people to get involved. The exhibition is designed to be informal and accessible, so everyone can contribute in a way that suits them.

“The Strategic Plan plays a vital role in delivering the ambitions of the Island Plan. It provides a clear framework for sustainable development, helping to shape communities that are well-connected, resilient and inclusive.

“Through this review, we are inviting the public to help guide how the Island grows and adapts over the coming years.”
