A warning has gone out to pet owners after a number of fish were found dead in the Silverburn River.
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is advising people not to allow their pets to enter the river between Ballasalla and Castletown harbour.
Yesterday there was a serious blaze at the fire and ambulance station opposite Ronaldsway Airport, although no formal link has been made to that incident or the aftermath.
