The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for coastal overtopping.

Adverse conditions are expected to affect the island over night with the weather warning being valid from 1am until 5am.

Another spring tide tonight at 3am will result in more coastal overtopping for a time at locations exposed to the south or southwest.

Areas likely to be affected are Shore Road, Castletown prom and the north of Douglas prom.

The Met Office suggests that debris is likely to be left in these places.
