While the public is excluded, MHKs have had a chance to question the candidates for the Legislative Council.
Four seats are up for grabs with the winners claiming a guaranteed £71,000+ five year deal.
For that, MLCs will be able to question ministers, hold government positions and vote on policy, all without troubling the public.
There are now 15 candidates for LegCo.
The candidates in the first hustings meeting are: Julia Bell, Robert Mercer, Bill Henderson, Mark Cleator, Claire Newall, Kerry Sharpe, Kirstie Morphet, Martyn Perkins.
The second hustings includes: Gary Clueit, Andrew Jones, Peter Reid, Barry Duncan, Ronald Berry, Matthew Gough, Barry Carbis
