We Don’t Mention Sunday

We should all make the most of today, as tomorrow will be a completely different story.

Never mind ice and snow, prepare for rain and gale force winds – this is your reminder to secure your wheelie bins and trampolines.

Back to today, expect scattered showers at first, these becoming more isolated throughout the morning, with sunny intervals developing thereafter.

Light and variable winds at first will settle to the south later in the day, top temperature of 6°C.

Vile Sunday

Rain arriving overnight into Sunday as the wind further strengthens.

Sunday will then be mostly wet and windy with a strong to gale force southerly wind and periods of rain, heavy at times, but clearing later in the evening.

Temperatures will be milder, up to about 9°C at best.

Outlook

Thankfully, next week’s looks better than previously expected.

Monday (January 12) is forecast to be bright with sunny spells and only isolated showers.

It’ll also be somewhat warmer than we are use to with a tropical 10°C expected.

Sadly, the wind will still be prevalent with S or SW 25-30 gusts 35-40, locally 30-35 gusts 40-45, veering and decreasing W or SW 15-20.

Tuesday will be rather cloudy with rain for a time, slightly cooler at 9°C.

No Mystic Moz, good things come to those who wait (the first full week of 2026 has taken it out of me so you’ll have to wait, sorry not sorry).

Have a great weekend!
