Where’s Our Money?

The government says it is not in a position to outline whether any taxpayers money has been recovered from the collapsed Cube Partnership.

Infamously awarded the TT merchandise contract by the Department for Enterprise, the deal was terminated in 2023.

It was later revealed that the company owed roughly £220,000 to local businesses and up to £160,000 to the government.

In response to our FoI request, the DfE said: “Whilst our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the public authority does not hold or cannot, after taking reasonable steps to do so, find the information that you have requested.

“Cube International Limited appointed liquidators in February of last year, that liquidation process is still ongoing and until such time that the Department is advised of the process completion the Department is not in a position to provide the information requested.”
