This morning’s Heysham sailing has been cancelled due to the high winds, which are also disrupting flights at Ronaldsway.
Gusts of 60-70mph are battering the island today.
Due to leave Douglas at 8am, the Manxman sailing was cancelled, as was its 1:45pm return.
A decision this evening’s sailing will be made by 5:30pm.
Down at the airport, this morning’s inbound easyJet flight from Liverpool is now not due on the island until 7pm, with the return leaving at 7:30pm.
The Manchester Loganair flight has also been cancelled while the Aer Lingus Dublin flight is showing a near two hour delay.
Airport chiefs said: “|Strong gale force winds are impacting the airport today, which is causing some flight disruption.
“Please check with your airline or visit our website for the latest updates on your flight.”
