Wins for League Leaders

Paul Hatton

Tommy Brown scored four as Peel swept aside Pulrose 10-0 to book their ECAP FA Cup quarter final spot.

The westerners will be joined in the quarters by RYCOB after they stunned Premier League St John’s 3-1, with a trip to Douglas Road being their prize.

The other games in the draw see Corinthians head to Union Mills and St Mary’s host Braddan.

There is however still the issue of Old Boys v Onchan to resolve after that game was abandoned last week, the winner of that will face Rushen.

Whites Stretch Out Lead

With Peel in cup action Corinthians took the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Canada Life Premier League to eight points.

They beat Ramsey 4-0, with Conor Clark grabbing a brace and Ryan Burns and Ryan Nelson scoring on apiece.

The other game in the top flight saw Ayre beat Rushen 2-3 at Croit Lowey thanks to goals from Alfy Scott, Declan Cummins and Chris Curtis.

Colby’s to Lose?

The team that seemingly everyone loves to hate (though no-one seems to know why beyond it being a catch song) Colby gave their title chances a massive boost on Saturday as they beat Castletown 4-1.

With the top two in Ardern & Druggan Ltd Division 2 facing off, a double from Jordan Edge, together with one each from Ste Collister and Greg Radcliffe, saw them go four points clear.

Marown, who are 12 points back, but with four games in hand, beat Governors 0-6 to boost their own promotion hopes, while Douglas Royal beat D&D 5-0 and Malew beat St Georges 3-0.
