Corinthians, Laxey and Onchan all won this weekend to further boost their Railway Cup credentials and keep the three horse title race on the road.
Just behind the top three Rushen and Peel also are stalking horses who could easily crash the party, especially with the latter’s three games in hand.
Leaders Corinthians were made to work hard for their 1-0 win over St Mary’s as Josh Ridings scored the game’s only goal.
Second placed Laxey stormed to a 2-9 win away at Foxdale as they dug deepest in the battle of the miners as Aaron Bradley and Ed Kangah both scored twice, while Tom Kenny, Ethan Hawley, Adam Mealin, Tom Smith and Joe Walters got one each.
As for Onchan, they had Tom Creer to thank for their win, coming only after a fierce 3-4 battle away at Braddan, read Upfront Footy’s full report of that game here.

Elsewhere in the top flight, Peel won 7-1 through four goals from Jay Charmer, two from Tom Brown and one from Taylor Andrews. That win leaves the 10 points behind Corinthians, but with three games in hand.
Fourth placed Rushen also won on Saturday as they beat Ramsey 2-0 thanks to goals from Ashley Blake and a late Aaron Hawley strike.
The other game in the top flight saw St Johns claim a 2-4 win away at Union Mills.

Colby are the new leaders in Division two after they beat Pulrose 3-0 thanks to goals from Nick Clague, Greg Radcliffe and Oliver Edge.
Both the other games D&D v Douglas Royal and RYCOB v Marown ended 1-1.
