The women’s national team are back in footballing action this weekend with the friendly match against Preston North End at Longbridge.
Manager Wayne Lisy has named a 16 player squad as this match forms part of preparations for the forthcoming Cherry Godfrey cup that will take place in Guernsey in June, having won this trophy two years back in Jersey.
The previous time our national Womens team were in action was in July 2025 at the Orkney Island Games where they finished with the silver medal.
It will be a busy summer of the women’s national side who also have fixtures against FC United of Manchester on the 16th May at the Bowl, the Cherry Godfrey Cup on the 27th & 28th June and a proposed football tournament involving Ynys Mon on the 17th July.
