Isle of Man Transport says work to renew 600 metres of track on the Manx Electric Railway will be completed by the end of the month.
Engineers are renewing a section near Groudle.
Local resources are being utilised with the over 700 sleepers manufactured on Island and the majority of the 2,000 tons of ballast being made from recycled Manx stone.
Manx Electric Railway services are set to resume from March 12th.
