A yellow warning has been issued for minor inner harbour flooding in Ramsey and coastal overtopping around parts of the island late tonight.

The adverse conditions are expected from 10pm tonight until 2am tomorrow (September 11) centred on the high spring tide at 00:04.

The Met Office says the lowest‑lying areas of Ramsey Harbour, including Riverside Industrial Estate and Gardener’s Lane, may see minor flooding for a couple of hours around high tide.

High spring tides are also likely to cause overtopping of sea water and debris on exposed coastal roads and promenades.

The areas most at risk are:

  • Fenella Beach, Peel
  • Shore Road (Castletown end), Rushen
  • Castletown Promenade

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to take care in affected areas.
