Youngsters from Isle of Man Schools represented the island at the English Schools Fell Running Championships in Sedburgh.
In the Year 7 races, Maisy-Jo Faragher had a fantastic run to win the bronze medal in the girls’ race, while Leighton Curphey was fourth in the boys’ race.
After that, another debutant Corrie Brogan finished well up the field in the year 8/9 race.

The final race for us was the year 10/11 race, the biggest field of the day.
Hopes were high for Harry Stennett given his previous podium performances but he unfortunately suffered with a knee niggle yet battled on to finish well up in the field.
He’ll be back stronger I’m sure. Yet another debutant was Freddie Johnston who was making only his second appearance on the fells, stepping up with a great run to also finish in the top half.
