11 Patients Transferred Off-Island During TT

Manx Care says its system remained stable throughout the 2026 TT period, with services meeting increased demand and maintaining safe, timely care for residents and visitors.

The Manx Care board heard that activity rose as expected, including 105 more Emergency Department attendances compared with TT 2025 and 11 inpatient admissions identified as TT‑related.

A total of 11 patients required off‑island transfer for specialist care, slightly higher than last year.

Staffing levels were sufficient to meet demand, supported by additional trauma capacity and bank and agency staff in line with previous years.

Response times were maintained, bed occupancy remained at OPEL 2, and planned services continued without disruption.

Manx Care formally recognised the “significant effort and commitment” shown across all services and partner organisations during the fortnight.
