That figures includes £3,307,373.38 for September 2023 to August 2024.
Submitted by advocate Ian Kermode, the FoI also revealed that there were 347 supply teachers registered at the start of this academic year.
Supply teachers are paid £28.52 – £36.45 per hour, with primary school supply teachers paid for a morning, afternoon or full day and secondary school supply teachers paid in lesson periods 1-6 (6 being a full day).
