Despite the DoI Minister saying a report would be published last month, the DoI said it is still assessing feedback on its 20mph plans.
The 20mph plans, which have proved somewhat controversial, aim to lower speed limits in many urban areas of the island, including around schools.
In response to a question from Chris Thomas last month, Dr Haywood said: The department intends to publish a report which will present an analysis of the feedback.
“It is anticipated that the report will be ready at the end of April 2025. On publication, the report will be posted on the Department’s Highway Services webpage.”
Spoilers, it isn’t there.
A spokesperson told Manx.News: “A large amount of feedback is in the process of being assessed and a report will be published in due course in line with the Minister’s commitment to Tynwald. Contributors are thanked for their views.”
Last month the DoI released an updated timeline for rollout of more 20mph speed limits, with consultations set to begin this spring.
That came as Minister Dr Michelle Haywood acknowledged issues in the DoI’s handling of the plans.
