Manx CrossFit competitor Aimee Cringle shone on the global stage as she finished 13th at the CrossFit Games in Fort Worth, Texas.
The 25-year-old, who hails from Glen Maye, was the only female from Britain to qualify and compete against the world’s top 40 female CrossFit athletes.
The CrossFit Games are the ultimate proving grounds for the Fittest Man and Fittest Woman on the planet and are world-renowned as the definitive test of fitness.
For most of the three day competition she was holding onto 6th place, until the final which was the 10th work out.
Cringle on the World Stage
She won some of her heats and had multiple top three finishes across the ten events; this was against experienced CrossFit Games athletes, yet she was consistently up there with the best in the world.
Aimee was also awarded the prestigious ‘Rooky of the Year 2024’ awarded to the highest placing new comer to the Games.
Cringle has had an exceptional year, placing 10th in the worldwide open, 5th in the Europe semifinals, and being ranked No. 1 in the United Kingdom, and now 13th in world.
Not only is she a fierce athlete, having previously represented the Isle of Man at the Island Games and bringing home a gold medal in athletics, she is also a qualified nurse.
