Coins dating back over a millennium have gone on display at the Manx Museum.
The coins, date from the reigns of Edward the Confessor (AD 1042 to 1066), King Aethelred II (AD 978 – 1016), King Canute (AD 1016 to 1035) and the Norse King of Dublin, King Sihtric Silkbeard (AD 989 to 1036).
Discovered by John Crowe and David O’Hare, the coins were declared treasure by the island ‘s deputy coroner earlier this week.
The coins will be on display for just two weeks.
