While Shoprite has faded into memory, the future of its last holdout has now become clear.
Winerite on Victoria Road will be converted to a Tesco Express with the company’s submitting plans for new signs.
The supermarket giant has applied for the installations of illuminated and non-illuminated signage on the store.
The plans include: “Two Tesco illuminated fascia signs, one above the entrance doors and canopy, the other to left hand side façade
both within full length non illuminated blue box fascias.
“Store directory sign to the left of the entrance doors. One illuminated projecting sign, dibond sign and vinyl sign to the window, all on the left hand side façade.”
