At approximately 4am crews from Kirk Michael and Ramsey were dispatched to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the Jurby Road.
Upon arrival crews provided immediate casualty care at the roadside to one individual who was found to be out of the vehicle.
A second passenger was unfortunately trapped inside the vehicle by their injuries, with the wreckage of the vehicle pinning them inside.
Crews used electric hydraulic cutting and spreading equipment to free the casualty before they could be handed over to the Ambulance Service.
The Fire Service said: “This was an avoidable incident which has unfortunately spoiled the Christmas period for all involved.”
