Four MPs have expressed their hopes that the Manx government will grant a request for fresh a inquest into the Summerland fire.
Lawyers representing families who lost loved ones in the Summerland Fire lodged the appeal earlier this week.
In a joint statement Sarah Hall MP (Warrington South), Charlotte Nichols MP (Warrington North), Paul Davies MP (Colne Valley) and lan Byrne MP (Liverpool West Derby) said: “”As supporters of the Justice for Summerland campaign we welcome the submission for a new inquest and hope that the Manx Government do the right thing in granting it.
“For too long the families affected by this devastating tragedy have not had the answers they needed.
“We hope that the survivors and families of those who lost their lives can finally get justice.”
The Chief Minister has said that the request will be considered by the Attorney General.
