Blue Moon Gift Shop and Zeds Bedding have partnered up to buy a “cuddle bed” for Hospice.
The beds allow patients to share a bed with their loved ones to provide comfort and, as the name suggests, have a cuddle.
To buy the bed, Ady and Cat are embarking on a mission to raise £15,000 over the next two years, though they hope it will be less.
They said: “We both have personal experience of the amazing work of Hospice Isle of Man and wanted to target our efforts after chatting to some of their fantastic staff.
“Hospices are finding it a fantastic bed for delivering Palliative care. The ability to be able to get into the same bed as your loved one and have a cuddle or offer comfort at the most tender of times is proving to be incredibly beneficial.
“The bed is fully certified for two people, giving patients and carers peace of mind that not only is it helping to provide care, but it is also doing it safely.”
Parish Walk
They will kick off their fundraising efforts with the Parish Walk which we both are hoping to finish.
