Jade Burn’s schedule bout for later this month has been cancelled, the third time she has had a fight cancelled or moved on her in the last year.
The Grenade had been due to box at Liverpool’s Grand Central Hall on Sunday April 27.
Posting on Facebook Burden said she is “obviously really gutted”.
She said: “When you’ve got a fight date, everything else gets pushed aside. Your whole life goes on hold—work, social life, everything. All your focus, energy, time, and effort goes into preparing.
“I’ve put my career on the side to give this a real shot. I’m just about getting by financially, and that’s only possible thanks to the support of some incredible sponsors. Living on an island makes things even harder—it’s tough to get away, tough to get access to what you need, and when fights fall through… it hits even harder.
“This is now the third time I’ve had something fall through—September was cancelled, December got moved last-minute, and now this. It takes a serious toll, especially mentally. You give everything and sometimes it feels like the rug just keeps getting pulled out from under you.
“But I’m not giving up. I’m going to take a bit of time to chill, reset, and then look ahead to the next opportunity. New date, new goal. I’ll keep pushing forward.
