Kirrie Jenkins has been elected as Chair of Arbory and Rushen Parish Commissioners for the 2025–2026 Municipal Year.
Mrs Jenkins, first elected in 2021, returns to the role amid significant challenges for the southern community.
At the authority’s AGM, the board paid tribute to long-serving Commissioner David Radcliffe, who recently passed away, remembering him as a “dedicated public servant.”
They also acknowledged the retirement of Stan Pilling, marking the end of an era.
New Members
Two new members joined the board at the recent election: Sally-Ann Franklin Maiden, elected Vice-Chair, brings expertise in business, farming, and public service while Juan Hargraves, known for his farming community involvement, adds fresh perspectives.
Outgoing Chair Mr. Peter Gunn was thanked for his service.
He said: “Once again it has been a very busy year for the Commissioners with various challenges to overcome, and as Chair I wish to put on record my thanks both to the Clerk & Deputy Clerk for their endeavours, along with the support I have had from my fellow Board members.”
