With injuries ruling out Craig Neve of this year’s TT, the Bathams AJN Racing team will now field Manxman Jamie Cringle in the 1000cc races.
Cringle was due to ride the AGR Motorsports Honda CBR1000RR but will now campaign Neve’s similar machine for Bathams AJN Racing in the RST x D3O Superbike, RL360/Opul Superstock and Milwaukee Senior races instead.
The 27-year-old made his TT debut in 2022, taking a best finish of 29th in the second Supersport race where he lapped at 116.934mph.
Cringle Steps Up
He improved his pace to 118.540mph the following year but it was twelve months ago when he made real strides forward around the 37 and ¾-mile Mountain Course.
Contesting the 1000cc races for the first time, the Douglas rider finished 18th in both the Superbike and Senior races, the latter seeing him up his pace to an impressive 125.355mph as he finished just one place behind his elder brother Ryan.
Jamie Cringle: “It’s obviously through unfortunate circumstances that the chance with Bathams AJN Racing has come around, and I pass on my best wishes to Craig, but I’m tremendously grateful for the opportunity they’ve given me.
“I was pleased with how last year went and with 2025 being my second year on a big bike, the aim was always to improve on what I achieved last year so whilst that outlook remains the same, I’m now looking forward to learning as much as I can from Michael.
“His experience, and the whole team’s, will be a tremendous asset and it’s something I’m looking to capitalise on by improving my speeds and moving further up the leaderboard.”
